Heading west

After yesterday’s grey and windy intermezzo, we are greeted this morning by a beautiful sun. So we get up early and after the typical croissants and pain au chocolat breakfast we’re off. The plan is to head west inland and then get back along the coast.

The inland route turns out to be more interesting than expected with loads of twisty stretches.

Around lunch time we get to the shore and it’s time to start looking for a pick nick place.

Late afternoon we reach Cap Frehel. I remember this as a bit of a tourist trap with expensive obligatory parking lot and lots of tourists. However, this time of year, the parking lot is free and there are hardly any people.

The light of the setting sun gives the entire site a bit of a magical touch.
