So we planned a week off at the beginning of September. The plan was to put the bikes on the trailer and drive for 1 day maximum. But where to go? We had a few options: Luxemburg, the Voges region, Burgundy… But with just a few days before departure the weather forecasts for all those destinations were pretty grim: cold and wet, or wet and cold… So we looked west and pinpointed the GPS towards Brittany. I had spent quite a lot of holidays overthere in the 90’s and I’m keen to show the beautiful shores to Jo as well.
So off we go!
En route in Normandy, and we have to pass the impressive Pont de Normandie.
After an uneventful days driving, we arrive at Ploubalay, a campsite where we spent a lot of holidays and I am looking forward to see Daniel again who used to run the place. But it turns out the camp site has been closed already. Summer season only lasts from June to August over here. So we have to look for other options. And in that case, I want to be near the shore, so we head for Saint-Lunaire.
